After bringing heavyweight stompers from the likes of TMSV and Samurai Breaks to the table, London-based imprint Sub Merchants are pleased to share with you the third and final track from their debut release ‘SM-001’, an offering from the formidable THUGWIDOW - the third in a monthly series of singles, and the final drop ahead of a full compilation EP exploring the contemporary evolution of jungle music, releasing later this year.

‘You See How It Spreads Out Like A Fungus’ is the culmination of THUGWIDOW growing his unique sound over the last 5 years, which recently has seen him releasing across the likes of Kutadah, Infinito Audio and No Problema Tapes in 2020 alone. An expert in sound design, the abstract tone of THUGWIDOW’s music evokes an introspective feeling of late nights, early mornings and post-rave junglist afterparties, with ‘You See How It Spreads Out Like A Fungus’ being no exception. A perfect blend of ethereal ambient synths scattered with breaks and deep bass pulses, it’s a truly exceptional piece of music that flawlessly ties together the SM-001 EP.

Every time I listen to this EP it gets better and better. Proper chops and cuts deep subs and heavy brewing dark vibes lovely spine tingles and standing hairs on the back of the neck. I honestly love all the tracks one doesn’t stand out above any other for they all stand alone in there own right! Absolutely one in the tops pile.
