Returning to more traditional dubstep roots, the closing track of the EP is a masterclass in space and reverb. ‘Subcity’ masterfully blends a moody atmosphere with progressive bongo drum rhythms which add a tribal hypnotic quality. Subtle vocal samples enhance the mood, whilst a thunderous bass drop, which continuously builds throughout into a progressive wobbler. Throughout, the eerie melodies maintain a sense of introspection. This one is an eyes-down tune for the heads.
